3.9's trip to St Mary's Lighthouse

As part of Year 3's topic 'Light Fantastic' we visited St Mary's lighthouse, Whitley Bay. The children took a tour of the lighthouse and we all managed to climb the 133 stairs up to the top! Phew!
The weather was cold but clear!
The view from the top of the lighthouse was beautiful. We could see all the way to Sunderland.
